Registration - 6:00 p.m.
Competition - 6:45 p.m.
Open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 - 10 years
Each child is asked to bring an item from home that he or she is interested in. Example - show and tell - Little Justin is interested in old teddy bears and brings one of his favourites and tells how he got it, when he got it, and how he may take care of it or an interesting story about his teddy bear.
| 1. Age limit for contestants is 5 - 10 years of age on Friday the day of the fair |
| 2. Parents or an escort are asked to remain with the child while on stage for encouragement if needed |
| 3. The child will be asked a few questions regarding his or her subject |
| 4. There is a limit of fourteen contestants - 7 boys and 7 girls. Entries are accepted on a first to register basis |
| 5. Casual clothes will be the dress code |
The winner in each category receives $100 from McNeil Insurance Agency, a medalion for the Prince and a Tiara for the Princess sponsored by the Wallacetown Optimist Club and a stuffed animal from Carter Shows. Each contestant will be given a gift bag and participant ribbon for entering. The Prince and Princess will be crowned and asked to be part of the grandstand show at which time they will be announced as official prince and Princess of the Wallacetown Fair. If they are able to return to the Fair the following day, they will be encouraged to take part in the parade by riding in a parade vehicle.
