| 41. Bernardin Best Show Award - Prize will be awarded to the exhibitor with the most points in the canning sections 27-39 inclusive. One prize - $20 gift certificate |
| 42. Bernardin Jam/Jelly Award - Qualifiers must make one entry of jam and one entry of jelly. Entries must be in pint size Mason-type jars and sealed with Berardin snap lids - no wax. Jam and jelly must be made with a Bernardin Fruit Pectin product. Pectin product package or label to accompany the entry (CERTO is not a Bernardin product). One prize - $10 gift certificate |
43. Bernardin:a. Gift Pack Winning entry is to be present at 4:30 p.m., Saturday for photo taking. Must include at least 3 filled mason jars sealed with Bernardin lids. Must be submitted in an appropriate container, not necessarily a basket. The entry must be decorated for any theme type (holiday, get well, etc.). Judges select the winner based on creativity, quality of home canned product, perceived value and appropriateness of presentation. One prize - $10 gift certificate and a chance to win at the national level (grand prize $100 and two runners-up of $25 each. |

| 49. Country Fair Bake-off Specials: - All first prize winners are requested to be present at the display area at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday for a photo session. As well, all 1st prize winners of the Country Fair Bake-off Competition are requested to sign a release form at this time. All entrants of the Country Fair Bake-off Competition must submit entries that were made using the sponsor's product. A PRODUCT LABEL MUST ACCOMPANY EACH ENTRY AS PROOF OF PURCHASE and THE RECIPE MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE ENTRY FORM |

| District Competition |
| 3. The winner from each Fair/Exhibition will be eligible to enter at the District Competition. |
| 4. District entry must consist of 8 cookies displayed on a firm, disposable plate. |
| 5. Plain chocolate chip cookies, with NO NUTS, must be no larger than 3" (6.75 cm) and no smaller than 2" (5 cm). |
| 6. Prize money to be paid by the District. |
| Provincial Competition |
| 7. The entrant must be the winner from the District Competition. |
| 8. In the case where the District winner is unable to send an entry to the Convention, then the 2nd place District winner will be eligible to enter. |
| 9. The entry must be tagged with the exhibitors name, address and District represented using the entry tag provided. |
| 10. District winners must send to the committee by January 15, 2012, the "consent to publish" form signed also by the parent/guardian of the exhibitor. |
| 11. Cookies will be judged according to the OAAS Homecraft Judging Standards. |
| 12. Entries will be received in the Ballroom on the Convention floor between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning of the Convention. Judging will commence at 9:00 a.m. |

| Whole Wheat Bread Competition Rules |
| 1. Bread entry must be solely made by the person entering the competition |
| 2. The entrant must have won the 60% Whole Wheat Bread Competition at the local Fair/Exhibition to be eligible to enter the District Competition |
| 3. The entrant must have won the District Competition to be eligible to enter the OAAS Competition t the Convention in February 2012. The Convention winner will become the OAAS Ontario Bread Baker Champion for the year. |
| 4. In the case where the District winner is unable to send an entry to the convention, then the 2nd prize District winner will be eligible to enter. |
| 5. Pan size: (these measurements for the top of the pan that must be used for the final Convention Competition) |
| Minimum size: 8" x 4" x 2 ½" (20 cm x 10 cm x 7 cm) Maximum size: 9" x 5" x 3" (23 cm x 13 cm x 7.5 cm) |
| 6. A full loaf of 60% whole wheat bread is required to be shown. |
| 7. District winners must send their recipe for entry on the card provided and the signed “consent to publish” form to the committee by January 15, 2012 |
| 8. Exhibit (loaf of bread) must be in a clean, clear, plastic tag, tagged with the exhibitor’s name, address, and District represented using the entry tag provided. |
| 9. Entries will be received in the Ontario Room on the Convention Floor from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on the Friday morning of the Convention. Judging will commence at 9:30 a.m. Bread will be judged according to OAAS Homecraft Judging Standards. |
